A
few words on painting (Piotr Szwabe vel Pisz)
I
try to document what I can see around me, especially
a street surrounding. The silhouettes are painted
casually, drowning in a color. They emerge from
it in a way resembling graffiti tags, sprayed over
the walls, out of a natural need to leave a mark
of one's presence in a particular place.
My
paintings are meant to be tranquil, as if they were
born under the eye lids, vague and imponderable.
They remind me blurred memories watched from behind
a steamy or wet window pane. Their characteristic
outline and fragments are the beginning of generating
a primary energy, which is of a major importance
to me.
