Titel:
Time, pattern, movement and rockmusic!
For the theme: 50 years of the first rock`n´roll
concert in poland, which took place in Gdansk.
In
my sketches I work with three different sloping
levels, to support the idea of movement, youth protest
culture and remembrance. I use a ground-level, a
level between and a first level.
The youth protest culture want to change the normal,
stall and regular structures of the society to get
alive. As a symbol for this situation I take sloping
plains.
Time
and remembrance
The ground plain is the time, the year number 1959
as a repetition, where the first rock´n`roll concert
took place in Gdansk. I show the numbers 1959 as
a time-pattern leval.
Pattern
and Circles
The sloping plain between, is a pattern with circles,
the circle as a symbol of movement, because this
form has no beginning and no end.
All dances are working with patterns, for example
the square dance, it works with
the patterns of squares.
Dance
is movement
Rock`n roll (rocking and rolling) is movement! So
I show rock´n roll dancer in different positions
at the first leval. Rock`n roll is a wild and free
dance particularly for young people. It is a happy,
fast and sporty dance, which is strongly orientated
by the viewers. Acrobatic layers are charakteristic
features.
